Who we are

The Motown Pirates’ website address is:

Data is collected automatically when you leave a comment. We also will see your IP address (to help spam detection).

If you upload photos to the website, don’t leave the location data on as other people can see and download information about us all! Eek!

THE SMALL PRINT aka – The even more boring bit!

When you leave a lovely comment for us you can save your name and email address so it’s easier for you to leave another lovely review next time 🙂 (That lasts for one year.)

Embedded content from other websites

Some things on this website include embedded content (e.g. YouTube videos). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. Just to let you know!

Who we share your data with

No-one (willingly) and we won’t be giving away your details that for sure, but if you request a password reset for example , your IP address is automatically included in the reset email.

How long do we retain your data?

Well none of us will be looking (or even know how to!) I promise you that but we are told that iIf you leave a comment, the comment and its ‘metadata’ are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue (whatever that means)!

What rights you have over your data

If you have left comments on our site, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. Of course, we’d have to find someone who knows how to retrieve this information first! 😉

Where we send your data

Your comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
